Harry Potter sits his detention with Professor Umbridge
- 1995: Hogwarts High Inquisitor Dolores Umbridge inspected fifth-year Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures classes. Harry Potter had detention with Umbridge. Hermione Granger suggested that Harry begin teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts. This idea later became Dumbledore's Army.[2]

The chapter then talks about the first day of classes that happened on a Monday a week earlier, which was 2 September. "The following morning", Harry attends Transfiguration. Since eight days earlier was 2 September, it now has to be 10 September.
