- 1802: A Norwegian Ridgeback is reported to have carried off a Whale Calf off the coast of Norway.[2]
- 1806: The fifty-eighth Wizarding Schools Potions Championship is held.[3]
- 1809: The 1809 Quidditch World Cup is held in the West Siberian Plain, in Russia. During the final, between Romania and New Spain (what is now called Mexico), Romanian Beater Niko Nenad, an extremely volatile and unstable man, jinxed the whole of the forest adjacent to the pitch: all the trees instantly sprang to life and proceeded to attack the stadium, resulting in several injuries and deaths (including Nenad's own).[4]
