Events

• A student enrolled into Hogwarts in their fifth year, and their ability to master ancient magic was discovered.
• Anne Sallow dropped out of school before the year began, owing to a curse she had acquired during Victor Rookwood's raid on Feldcroft.
• Quidditch was cancelled for the year by Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black due to a pure-blood student being injured on the Quidditch pitch during last spring's final.
• A fifth-year Slytherin student, Sebastian Sallow, was possibly expelled for using the Killing Curse on his uncle.
• Ranrok invaded the Keepers' Caverns beneath Hogwarts to access the final repository, but was beaten by the new fifth-year student as well as the Hogwarts professors. Both Ranrok and Professor Eleazar Fig died during the battle.
• A memorial ceremony for Professor Fig was held near the end of the school year.
