This Quidditch match took place in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as the final match of the 1966–1967 school year. The match was incredibly long, and particularly rough. Madam Hooch, the referee, had to call at least a dozen fouls in the first few minutes alone.
It featured future Wigtown Wanderers star player Ethan Parkin. Parkin's House team trailed 420-570 until he led his teammates in a Power Play manoeuvre to let a Chaser score a goal, moments before their Seeker caught the Golden Snitch. The final result was 580 points for Ethan's House and 570 for their opponents, making it the highest-scoring Quidditch final in Hogwarts history. This record held for at least another 20 years and would make the game legendary for its high scores and excitement, especially in the final few minutes.
On the match's 20th anniversary, that year's final was considered a rematch as it was between the same Houses. Ethan's daughter Skye Parkin played on his former team, and Ethan himself was in attendance.[1]
