- 1993: End of the term; the Hogwarts Express takes some students to London. Harry Potter receives a note from Rubeus Hagrid, informing him that Buckbeak's hearing is scheduled for 20 April.
- 1995: Harry Potter and the Weasleys visit Arthur Weasley at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. There, they eavesdrop on a private conversation with members of the Order of the Phoenix which leads Harry to believe he may be possessed by Lord Voldemort.
