• 1 September: Hogwarts school year begins:
  • James Sirius Potter begins his third year.
  • Victoire Weasley begins a later year (likely her sixth or seventh).
  • The Potters and Granger-Weasleys discover that Ted Lupin and Victoire Weasley are kissing.
  • Rose Granger-Weasley is sorted into Gryffindor, and Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy are sorted into Slytherin. They begin their first year. Scorpius is very shy and reclusive.

Second timeline
