• 1992: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, and Draco Malfoy serve detention with Rubeus Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest. They spot a dead unicorn and Harry encounters Lord Voldemort for the first time since his infancy.
• 1995: Harry Potter receives a letter from his godfather Sirius Black urging extreme caution and to practise spells for the third task of the Triwizard Tournament following the strange events regarding Bartemius Crouch Snr of two nights previous.
