679 West 24th Street was a brownstone house on West 24th Street in New York City that was owned by Mrs Esposito.[1][2] While Mrs Esposito lived on the main floor, in 1926 she was renting out an apartment on the second floor to two sisters, Tina and Queenie Goldstein.[1]
The sisters were forbidden from bringing home male guests by Mrs Esposito.[1][3] However, on the night of 6 December 1926, Tina snuck Newt Scamander and Jacob Kowalski up to her apartment because they needed somewhere to hide.[1][3]
Behind the scenes[]
- As American wizards and witches were banned from fraternising with No-Majs beyond the most rudimentary interactions, it is unclear if their landlady Mrs Esposito was a No-Maj or a witch. However, "paying rent" may classify as "rudimentary interactions".
