A Midsummer Night's Dream is a play by William Shakespeare, portraying the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta.
History[]
This play was staged sometime in the 1990s. There was a poster mentioning it, As You Like It, Twelfth Night and Coriolanus at Luchino Caffe in the summer of 1997 in London.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Gemma Jones, who portrayed Poppy Pomfrey in the Harry Potter film series, played Hippolyta/Titania in the 1973 Royal Shakespeare Company production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
