A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry is a book containing detailed information on recent developments in wizardry. This book was kept in the Hogwarts Library from at least 1987 to 1991.

History

"[...] No wonder we couldn't find Flamel in that Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry. He's not exactly recent if he's six hundred and sixty-five, is he?"
Ron Weasley[src]

In 1987, Andre Egwu told Jacob's sibling that he's been reading the book.

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger unsuccessfully used the book as research material while looking for information on Nicolas Flamel.[2] After discovering Flamel was more than six hundreds years old, Ron Weasley commented that it was no wonder they failed to find him in a book with such a title, since he was born in the Middle Ages.[3]
