A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry was a book kept in the Hogwarts Library as of 1991. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger unsuccessfully used the book as research material while looking for information on Nicolas Flamel. After discovering Flamel was more than six hundreds years old, Ron Weasley commented that it was no wonder they failed to find him in a book with such a title, since he was born in the Middle Ages.
