Abandoned potions of the Middle Ages as compared to the Black Plague was the name of an essay assigned by Professor Aesop Sharp to his students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1890–1891 school year. Judging by the title, it would have compared abandoned potions from the Middle Ages to those found in the time of the Black Death. Two students could be seen discussing the assignment in the school corridors.
