Abernathy's wand had an unknown length, wood and core material. This wand was used in 1927, when Abernathy became a loyal follower and acolyte of Gellert Grindelwald and his cause.[1]
History[]
During the Dark wizard's daring escape from MACUSA confinement using human transfiguration, he pushed Rudolph Spielman out of the high flying carriage that he had previously been travelling in, and sent him flying down towards the waters below, throwing Abernathy's wand down with him. Thankfully, whilst falling, Spielman managed to grab the wand in time to cast a Slowing Charm just above the water's surface, in order to safely fall into the water and survive.[1]
It is not known what became of this wand afterwards; it is possible that Spielman kept it for his own use, as his own wand had been previously destroyed by Grindelwald, submitted it for examination by the authorities or discarded it outright.
