An Abyssinian cat was a breed of short-haired cat that originated in Abyssinia (present-day Ethiopia).[1]
History[]
The Abyssinian cat was one of several cat breeds and coats that could be found in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogsmeade and other wizarding villages in the late 1890s.[2]
