Achievements in Charming was a book by Sameera Hanifus[1] about charms. It could be read to revise for Ordinary Wizarding Levels (O.W.L.s).[3]
History[]
In 1932, Eulalie Hicks owned a copy.[2]
Hermione Granger used the book for this purpose, furiously rereading the book in order to make sure she had the material down before the exam. The day before the theoretical Charms O.W.L., she asked Harry Potter to quiz her; he did so, but soon regretted his decision when he found that Hermione frantically retrieved the book after every quiz question in order to check that her answer was completely correct. She eventually hit him on the nose with the book's sharp edge.[3]
During the Calamity in the late 2010s or early 2020s, a Calamity Investigator working for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force re-read their copy of this book in order to help improve their chances of returning Foundables from Traces.[4]
