Adou Sosseh was a witch or wizard and captain of the Senegalese National Quidditch team.[1]
Biography[]
They were the captain of Senegal when they lost the 1998 Quidditch World Cup to Malawi.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Harry Potter fan Cormac Seachoy began a crowdfunding campaing[2] to add a plaque outside of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children to commemorate the gifting of the 1998 Quidditch World Cup posts from the winning Malawian Captain who asked the opposing Senegalese Captain, Adou Sosseh, to enchant them into place.[2] This prank was made because Cormac "always used to say" how the Lollypop Be-Bop sculpture placed outside the Hospital since 2001 "looked like the Quidditch posts",[3] he put the plaque in November 2014.[4] Cormac Seachoy had terminal cancer and passed away six months later.[4]
