The Agency for the Protection of Wizarding Secrecy was an American organisation charged with helping enforce the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy.[1]
History[]
In 1926, they held a recruitment drive for Obliviators every half-moon in the towns of Boswell, Indiana; Twig, Minnesota; Dogtown, Alabama; and Imalone, Wisconsin.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- The Federal Bureau of Covert Vigilance and No-Maj Obliviation may be a branch of this agency, seen as how in real life, government bodies with bureau in the name are often a subdivision of a larger agency, and as such, it is possible that despite whatever segregation there is between the magical and non-magical communities of Noth America, that the F.B.C.V.N.O. is actually one of several branches, with the Agency for the Protection of Wizarding Secrecy being its parent agency.
- If the Protection of Wizarding Secrecy is indeed a part of MACUSA, it's presumably a subdivision of the MACUSA Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
