Professor Albus Dumbledore kept a diary in his office in which he would chronicle "the business of the day".[1]
History[]
During the 1980s, he broke his quill and asked Rubeus Hagrid to acquire him a new one. Hagrid believed that Dumbledore was asking for a replacement quill for the Quill of Acceptance, and so hurriedly called Jacob's sibling and asked them to help them acquire a new Augurey feather quill. Jacob's sibling decided to get one from the nest of the Augurey at the Magical Creatures Reserve and worked alongside Liz Tuttle to acquire one. When they eventually did, they gave it to Dumbledore who politely informed Hagrid that he was just expecting him to get one from Flourish and Blotts, but thanked them anyway for their effort and remarked he hadn't seen Madam Villanelle in such a long time, and it would be a good excuse to go visit.[2]
