At some point in or before 1932, Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald had a meeting in a London restaurant.[1]
History[]
Background information[]
Both Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald arranged to meet at this restaurant, to discuss themselves, their history together, their love and their blood pact.[1]
The meeting[]
On the evening of a winter night between the years 1927 and 1932, Albus Dumbledore took a train to London, walked into a Muggle restaurant and sat down at his seat at table 14. Albus ordered tea for himself with a salt slice, when the waitress came to ask if Albus would like anything else, he said no, not yet implying that he would want to order more and that he was expecting someone to join him, that person being Gellert Grindelwald. While waiting, he dissolved the salt into his tea and stirred while he waited for his former lover to arrive. Albus closed his eyes and took a deep breath when Grindelwald arrived. They shared a conversation about their love together and the time they spent sharing their blood pact, wizarding supremacy, and the reason they loved each other and the Global Wizarding War. Gellert left after dismissing the conversation and wishing him that he enjoyed his cup of tea.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In a deleted scene, Grindelwald kisses Dumbledore behind the neck.[2]
