Albus Severus "Al" Potter (born between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2006) is the second son of Harry and Ginny Potter. He is named after Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape. On September 1st, 2017, Albus Severus entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, joining his elder brother James, along with his cousin, Rose Weasley, and the son of Draco Malfoy, Scorpius. On the platform before boarding the Hogwarts Express, Albus Severus confided in his parents that he was afraid that he would be sorted into Slytherin. To assauge his fears, Harry told him that one of the bravest men he ever knew - a man that Albus Severus had been named after - was a Slytherin. Telling his son that Slytherin would get a good student and that he would think no less of him if he was sorted into the house, he reassured Albus. But he also told him that if he really didn't want to be in Slytherin, then the Sorting Hat would take his choice into consideration.
Physical appearance
Albus took after his father in appearance and was Harry's only child who inherited his grandmother's eyes.
Trivia
The initials of his name spell A.S.P, a type of snake. Whether this was intentional or not on the part of J.K. Rowling, it could indicate that Albus will indeed be sorted into Slytherin. Of course, as his father said, the Sorting Hat does take your choice into account, so possibly not considering his feelings on the matter.
Rowling has stated that she finds Albus the most 'interesting' of Harry's children, possibly referencing a future Potter-based work.
