Alfred Lawley was a wizard and professional Herbologist in the late 19th century.[1]

Biography[]

In 1890, he partnered with Ackley Barnes, a criminal wizard, to establish a business selling Venomous Tentaculas. However, Lawley broke off the partnership after quarrelling with Barnes, finding him too volatile to work with as a business partner. In revenge, Barnes tried to enlist a Hogwarts student to break into Lawley's underground greenhouse to steal the special Venomous Tentacula he had been growing to test their business plan. It's possible that the student managed to steal the plant from Lawley without him knowing of the theft.[1]
