A box of amaretti di Soronno on the floor of the Luchino Caffe

Amaretti di Saronno (singular amaretto di Saronno) are a type of almond-flavoured macaroon traditionally made in Saronno, Italy.[1]

Several boxes of amaretti di Saronno were knocked to the floor during a magical skirmish at the Luchino Caffe, an all-night Italian café on Tottenham Court Road in London, on 1 August, 1997.[2]
