Andrew Davidson is an English illustrator who created art for the 2013 adult editions of the Harry Potter books for Bloomsbury, via wood engravings.

Andrew studied Graphic Design and graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 1982. Well known for his wood engraved artwork, he has worked for a variety of companies. He has created Royal Mail postage stamps and designed the glass doors at Wimbledon's Centre Court.[1]

When he was commissioned by Bloomsbury, Andrew wanted his art to look as though "they had come straight from the pages of a book taken from the library at Hogwarts". He created them by printing hand crafted wood engravings made on nine by seven-inch English boxwood onto Japanese paper.[2]
