- "So even if she's bewitched the door so Alohomora won't work, which I bet she has —"
- — Harry Potter mentioning Dolores Umbridge's possible use of these charms[src]
These spells were charms used to counteract the effects of Alohomora, Aberto, and possibly similar spells such as Annihilare, Dunamis, Emancipare, Liberare,[1] and another unidentified spell.
However, doors protected with these spells were still potentially vulnerable to physical force, as Jacob Kowalski was able to kick in the door to Percival Graves's office after Queenie Goldstein was unable to open it magically.[3]
History[]
In 1926, Queenie Goldstein speculated that there were sophisticated anti-unlocking charms protecting the door to Percival Graves's office after she was unable to use Alohomora and Aberto to open it.[3]
Similarly, in 1996, Harry Potter speculated that Dolores Umbridge may have protected her office with such charms, specifically an Anti-Alohomora Charm.[2]
