This potion served as an antidote to the drunkenness smaller creatures such as house-elves could get from over-consumption of Butterbeer. Dobby found an ample supply of this, along with an elf-sized bed in the Room of Requirement in 1995, when he went there seeking a place to hide Winky during her drunken binges.[1]
