The antidote to the Mysterious Malady was created by Yubert Thorne, who claimed that he was the only one who knew the recipe. This seemed to be true, as Yubert himself was the person who created the poison that caused the malady.[1]
History[]
After Yubert was arrested and imprisoned in Azkaban for his crimes, Astrid Cole, a plant-based healer and a Hogwarts student discovered the recipe for the antidote within Yubert's plant shop, Bewildering Blooms, and managed to brew the antidote to rescue all the affected witches and wizards.[1]
