Arus "Arch" Angchuan,[1] known professionally as Apolar,[2] is a conceptual and visual development artist and illustrator, and has been a Harry Potter fan since he was a child.[1] In 2020, he designed a new set of covers and interior art for the Harry Potter books in acknowledgement of the Thai 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.[3][4]
He also created the cover art for a day magazine (issue 239) for "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Thai Edition".[5][6]

Behind the scenes[]
- While Apolar is now professionally a vis dev artist and illustrator, he first studied architecture in Chulalongkorn University ("Chula") in Bangkok, Thailand, where he eventually met someone who graduated from a famous university in the States that rekindled the idea of pursuing a career involving drawing. He later studied at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for his MFA, majoring in Visual Development.[1] He has however used his structural knowledge due to his background in architecture to design arch-like frames bordering each of the covers.[7]
- As of mid 2020, the 27-year-old[8] Apolar completed his master's degree and worked at Electronic Arts.[9]
