Arcturus is a star.[1]
History[]
On the morning of 2 September 1890, Amit Thakkar was stargazing in the Ravenclaw common room and mentioned being able to see Arcturus.[1]
Three members of the House of Black were named after Arcturus: Arcturus Black (I), Arcturus Black (II), and Arcturus Black (III).[2]
