The Ardennes was a forested and mountainous region contained within the countries of Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and France.[1]
History[]
Some time before 1889, a Hogwarts professor holidaying in the Ardennes discovered a mysterious jewel-encrusted tortoise shell and took it back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, placing it on display in the Faculty Tower at the school.[2]
