Art was an extra-curricular subject taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The class was accessible only to third year students and above. The subject was taken in a classroom on the fifth floor.[1] As there was also a Muggle Art class, it can be presumed that this class covers art of the Wizarding world.
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, during the Sorting Ceremony, a male professor was seen wearing a beret, a symbol of the arts. This may mean that he taught Art or Muggle Art.
- This class may also teach wizarding photography i.e. the magic of producing moving photographs, and also possibly how to produce magical portraits.
Appearances[]
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (video game) (First appearance) (GBC version)
