Astrid Cole was more comfortable working alone in her "creepy" Herbology lab, which was located in the Hogwarts dungeons, using dangerous plants to create remedies and antidotes in her work as a plant-based Healer.[1][2]
History[]
During a night in the 2010–2011 school year, while Devil's Snare and some other plants crept around the place, Astrid Cole gradually walked toward an thinking board in her Herbology lab and pinned a large photograph of the targeted Neville Longbottom.[3]
Later that school year, an unidentified Muggle-born Hogwarts student entered the lab and found the targeted photo of Professor Longbottom. When Astrid went into her lab and pulled a Mandrake out of its pot, the Mandrake's scream rendered the student unconscious.[2]
Upon waking up, the student talked to Astrid, who revealed her suspicion of Yubert to them and asked them to help her "playing detective". As a result, the student agreed.[2]
