This spider attack occurred at Aranshire in or shortly before the 1890–1891 school year.[1]
History[]
Mary Portman secretly bred spiders in her cellar for profit. Many of the spiders came out of the ground one day and forced some of the residents in the village to take to a roof without getting hold of their wands. All were picked off by the spiders, except only two including Pete, who were saved by a witch flying by low in the air. The other survivor wrote about the incident to their dear one afterwards.[1]
