Aviatus is the incantation of a charm that forces a target to fly if it is able to.[1]
Etymology
"Aviatus" is derived from the Latin word "avis" which means "bird." "Avis" eventually evolved into the English word "aviation," which means flight.
Behind the scenes
- In early drafts of the eighth film, Hermione Granger used this spell to get the dragon to fly[1].
