"I remember my grandfather had an Axminster that could seat twelve — but that was before carpets were banned, of course."
Bartemius Crouch Snr[src]
An Axminster is a type of carpet, named after the town in which they were originally manufactured, notable for its high-quality loom and varying colours and patterns. Axminsters have been enchanted by wizards and witches for the purpose of turning them into flying carpets.[1]
