- "He usually picked Harry to help him with these reconstructions; so far, Harry had been forced to play a simple Transylvanian villager whom Lockhart had cured of a Babbling Curse, a yeti with a head cold, and a vampire who had been unable to eat anything except lettuce since Lockhart had dealt with him."

The Babbling Curse (incantation unknown) was a curse that caused uncontrollable babbling.[1]
History
In the 1980s at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, this curse was used heavily by students against their opponents in the Duelling Club.[2]
According to Gilderoy Lockhart, he once cured a Transylvanian farmer of this affliction,[1] which would have really been an accomplishment that he stole the credit for from a more accomplished witch or wizard.[3]
