- "Mum's a Muggle engineer. She doesn't quite get the "low tech" wizarding lifestyle."
- — Badeea Ali[src]
Mrs Ali was a British Muggle woman who worked as an engineer.
Biography[]
She disliked the fact that Muggle technology did not work at her witch daughter Badeea's school.[1] She took her daughter bowling, but her daughter always ended up colouring.[2] Sometime before 1 September 1989, her daughter cast the Star Shower Spell on top of their house, which made her angry.[citation needed] She was also known for being able to cook a delicious fish stew that reminded Badeea of home.[3] She was very practical and expected that her daughter find a career with clear steps and security to be successful instead of following her passion as an artist to, in her mind, a less stable career. However, her opinion changed after Badeea won the Magenta Comstock Young Witch and Wizard Artist Awards, proving to her that her daughter had enough talent to succeed as an artist.[4]
