Bangladesh is a country in South Asia, located east of India on the coast of the Indian Ocean. It shares land borders with India and Burma.[1]

Quidditch is not very popular within this area, because witches and wizards here tend to use the flying carpet; however, the sport and broomsticks do have some fans among young witches and wizards on the street.[2]

Behind the scenes

Shefali Chowdhury and Afshan Azad are British actresses and models of Bangladeshi descent. They are best known for playing the roles of Parvati and Padma Patil in the Harry Potter film series, except for in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where their characters are portrayed by Sitara Shah and Sharon Sandhu respectively.
