This Crup previously belonged to Barnaby Lee's grandmother.[1] Her grandson suspected she only owned it to scare Muggles.[citation needed]
History[]
When he was young, Barnaby once managed to squeeze himself into the cage of this Crup and was unable to get out, presumably having to be helped out of it.[2]
This Crup eventually outlived its owner, who died in 1992.[3] After she moved in to Barnaby Lee's grandmother's house, Liz Tuttle remarked that the old Crup hated everyone, including herself, despite her typical skills with magical creatures. Barnaby also expressed relief that, due to the house's new residents, he wouldn't have to live in the house with only this Crup for company.[4]
