This letter was written by Barnaby Lee's grandmother to her only grandson during the late 1980s.[1]
She wrote to inform Barnaby of familial developments, but in her letter criticised Barnaby by saying he had a talent for 'babbling nonsense on rhythm', something which Barnaby unintentionally took as a compliment and indicator of his musical talent.[1]
