A bear is a large dog-like mammal, and one of the largest carnivores living on land.[1]
History[]
Harry Potter once described Rubeus Hagrid in his overcoat as looking similar to an overgrown bear on its hind legs.[2] Hagrid also owned a coat that was actually made of bearskin.[3]
A teddy bear is a type of stuffed toy that more-or-less takes the appearance of this animal. Hagrid packed a teddy bear for Norberta when sending her off to live in Romania.[4]
