Beauvais Wand Shop was a wand shop in New York during the 1920s.[1]
History[]
Around the time he visited The Blind Pig in December 1926, Newt Scamander encountered a witch who had been hired to raise funds for expanding Beauvais Wand Shop to establish a "pop-up store" in New York. Newt enthusiastically contributed to this cause.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Since Rappaport's Law required a wand permit, it is unknown how users of these wands would apply for a permit as the wand permit application requires the applicant to tell the Wand Permit Office details of the wand. It might be that the shop's owner(s) and/or employee(s) were required to inform the Federal Wand Permit Officer.[2]
