"Thought to be situated somewhere in the Pyrenees, visitors speak of the breath-taking beauty of a chateau surrounded by formal gardens and lawns created out of the mountainous landscape by magic."
—Description of the Palace of Beauxbatons[src]

These gardens were part of the grounds of the Palace of Beauxbatons, which housed the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. They were considered to be formal.[1] The gardens were presumably adjacent to, or a part of, the Beauxbatons lawns and the Beauxbatons park.
