The Bedazzling Hex (incantation unknown) is a spell which was presumably used to disguise something; its exact effects are unknown, though it seems to be fact that such a spell will lift after time.
Known uses
- This hex is occasionally used in the production of invisibility cloaks[1].
- As such, it may be used on Alastor Moody's invisibility cloaks, one of which was lost by Sturgis Podmore when the latter went to Azkaban.
- It may also have been used by the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries in June 1996.
Behind the scenes
- It is unknown why this spell is considered a hex, it does not seem to cause any form of harm to the target or an individual. Due to the fact that this spell seems to bewitch objects, it seems to heavily resemble a charm.
