This wand was made of beech wood with a core made of dragon heartstring, and nine inches in length. It was described as "Nice and flexible".[1]

By 1991, the wand was created by wandmaker Garrick Ollivander.[1]
It was the first wand that Harry Potter tried in Ollivanders, Diagon Alley, on 31 July 1991. Harry was only able to wave the wand once before Ollivander deemed it unsuitable for him.[1]
