- "The second jet of light hit him squarely on the chest. The laughter had not quite died from his face, but his eyes widened in shock."
- — Bellatrix killing Sirius with this spell[src]
This unidentified spell (incantation unknown) was used by Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996. The spell's hand movement is unknown. Although Bellatrix used it to kill Sirius Black, it probably just makes the victim fall or have a push effect.[1]
Effects[]
- "It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall: his body curved into a graceful arc as he sank backwards through the ragged veil hanging from the arch."
- — The effects of the spell on Sirius[src]
The effects of this spell was unknown, but it presumed to make people fall, possibly also slowly, as Harry Potter described Sirius seeming to "take an age to fall".[1]
Known uses[]
Bellatrix Lestrange used this spell on her Order of the Phoenix cousin Sirius Black in 1996, knocking him through the veil, during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, killing him.[1]
