This letter was written by Bernard Ndiaye to Eddie Thistlewood during the 1890–1891 school year in response to an increase in frequency of attacks by Ranrok's Loyalists on Feldcroft. Ndiaye asserted that they seemed to be searching for something and that trade and people were suffering, requesting ideas from Thistlewood about how to handle the situation.[1]

The goblin rebellion's attacks on Feldcroft are becoming more frequent. The seem to be searching for something. At least, I fail to find another reason why they would target our little hamlet. Regardless, trade is suffering and the people are struggling. Feldcroft could certainly benefit from your creativity and optimism right now.
You always seem to have the cleverest ideas. Any suggestions, my friend? I'm not sure how much longer Feldcroft can survive.
