"Best-Laid Plans"[1] was the name given to a participatory tactical training exercise included in the training program ministered by the Auror Office to those who successfully completed the stringent series of character and aptitude tests required to qualify for becoming an Auror-in-training. It was centered on how to properly prepare for and react to various combat situations they were likely to encounter in the field. It was also part of the training offered to members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force in 2019 who sought to pursue a career as an Auror at a time they were dealing with the consequences of the Calamity.
