Betony is a genus of annual or perennial herbs, regarded as the most important medicinal herb to the Anglo-Saxons of early medieval Great Britain.[2]
Betony had healing properties, and was used in wizarding remedies: dried betony leaves were used in the treatment of mad dog bites.[1][3]
