Newest Trailer Deathly Hallows
Check out the newest trailer for Deathly Hallows! It's a bittersweet moment for us hardcore Harry Potter fans (even those who think the movies are far inferior to the books!) as the epic Harry Potter phenomenon comes to an end...at least for the original series.
Despite being dismissing the movies while adoring the books, I must say the trailer did send chills up my spine. I spotted Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, saw a part of Mrs. Weasley's epic duel with Bellatrix and I think I may have seen Fred's body!

Dr. Mr. Potter book
"Dear Mr. Potter: Letters of Love, Loss, and Magic" is a new book featuring hundreds of letters and pictures from fans and readers who have been impacted and inspired by Harry Potter.
Some familiar fandom names also pop up in the book, including the author of "Harry, A History" Melissa Anelli, actress Evanna Lynch who plays Luna Lovegood, New York Times-best selling author John Green, Andrew Slack from the Harry Potter Alliance, Paul DeGeorge of Harry and the Potters, Andrew Sims and Eric Scull of MuggleNet, and Esther Earl's mom, Lori.
Pre-orders for "Dear Mr. Potter" are now open with all proceeds going directly to the Harry Potter Alliance.

DH Part 2 Trailer, Wed Night on ABC
Well, we've being posting stills from HP DH Part 2 on the Harry Potter wiki for some time now and we've been anxiously awaiting a trailer. So here it comes- ABC Family just announced they will be airing the first trailer during a showing of Happy Gilmore this Wednesday night. According to the official press release:

Harry Potter wikians should be proud to see that the Kentucky Kernel newspaper has mentioned the Harry Potter Wiki in reference to an upcoming quiz event being hosted by students at the University of Kentucky.
Specifically, the article said "For those of you trying to brush up on Harry Potter trivia before the event, check out harrypotter.wikia.com for useful facts and information on both the books and movies."

Harry Potter in 3D
Nobody wants the Harry Potter magic to fizzle out, least of all Warner Bros., so it's not surprising to hear that there's talk of re-releasing the entire franchise in post-converted 3-D. MTV News asked producers David Heyman and David Barron about the rumors. "We're doing 3-D for the DVD of '7, Part 1,' and there's been no discussion of anything else yet, but I suspect the studio is going to be reluctant to let it die," Heyman said. "I'm sure it's just a matter of time."
Hearing this got me wondering what moments would really pop in 3-D?
I for one would love to see Fluffy in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and his three heads thrash about in 3-D! How does everyone else feel about a 3-D re-release? What other scenes would be cool in 3-D…
Harry Potter DH Part 2 Featurette
The excitement over Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 continues to build and it's no wonder with new featurettes like this one coming online almost daily. In addition to giving us some exciting new scenes, we get to hear from director David Yates, producer David Heyman, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. The excitement of the actors is palpable and as Daniel Radcliffe says, "It's going to be fantastic!"
Deathly Hallows: Part 2 ending reshot?
Director David Yates wasn't happy with the ending of Part Two when Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermjione are sending their children off to Hogwarts. They had casted different actors to play the four's thirty-year-old selves, but David Yates believe that they started with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, so they should end with them too. They reshot that seen with the original actors and David Yates gives David Heyman a thumbs-up and the scene replaced the older one. I, for one, am happy about this change!

Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem.
In the books, Harry first sees the Diadem in the Room of Requirement, when he puts it on top of the Vanishing Cabinet so he can mark the place of where he hid his Advanced Potions textbook. And later, when he is trying to find the diadem in Deathly Hallows, he remembers that he saw something it in the Room of Requirement, because he had seen it and moved it in his 6th year. However, this scene where Harry uses the diadem as a "place-holder" is not seen in the Half-Blood Prince film. So in the Deathly Hallows film, how will Harry find the diadem? Will he just randomly go to the Room of Requirement and happen to find it? What do you guys think?

Part 2 differences from the book
Under the page for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, under the section Differences from the book, it says that the statues and armor will come to life and fight for the school. I can't understand why this is a difference when, I remember cleary in the book Professor McGonagal bewitching them to come to life and ordering them to protect the school, screaming "Hogwarts is threatened!" So this did happen in the book and even other sites are claiming that it was put in for the movie! Can somebody please clear this up for me?
The films do not take place during the 90's
It's rather obvious. But some people on this site don't get it at all. I keep reading about "mistakes" because a bridge was built in 1998 etc. It doesn't matter! The films take place during the 2000's. You just have to ignore that they use the canon dates.
The dates they use from the books doesn't matter. They've used modern songs in Harry Potter (Order of the Phoenix) etc.. It's clearly not the 90's. Just because they use canon dates doesn't mean anything at all. The films do not take place in the 90's. So please, do stop making things into mistakes,when they are not.
The waitress in DH1 is clearly listening to her Ipod. The Dursleys have flatscreen tv, no 90's fashion etc etc.

My Day At The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter And Universal!
Hey, everyone! I hope its okay for me to post this here: I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I had a blast! I entered the park and started at Dr. Suess first before I went straight to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I took a picture of me and the conductor welcoming people into Hogsmeade, saw a Mandrake, and heard Moaning Myrtle in the bathrooms! I saw the Quidditch Balls (the Bludgers rumbling in their case and the Golden Snitch flying around in the backround) and the Sirius Black Wanted Poster. I then went to the Hogwarts Castle (I was unable to go on the rides but I'll go again tomorrow to do so) and had a castle tour: I saw Dumbledore talking to us in his office, Harry, Ron, and Hermione talking to us, the talking port…

Severus Snape's Death Scene Is Changed?
Hey, everyone! Accoriding to the Harry Potter news lately, a major change in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 has been made.

Many people enjoy the prospect of a dramatic death-Snape dying under the flaming school in a 'crystal house'.
But some think otherwise. Honestly, I think that the death of such an important character with such a vital role in the books and films shouldn't have been messed with in the first place. But that's just my own opinion.

Day Three - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Our last day in Universal Studios Orlando, I don’t want to believe it. This trip has gone by way too fast. It was an amazing experience and I thank the Wikia staff for making this possible! Day Two - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
This morning we got geared up for our second day in Universal Studio’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This was the morning we would get to have a traditional English breakfast at the Three Broomsticks Restaurant. My family was all equally excited to actually go to the Three Broomsticks and eat what I ate every morning in the Great Hall, on smaller proportions of course. Day One - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
This morning, we woke-up at seven a.m. so we could get on the ferry boat to go to the park early. We were able to get into the park an hour before the general public and we immediately headed towards The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! When we were walking, we were swiveling our heads as fast as we could so that we could see as much as we could. Suddenly, I saw it. HOGWARTS!!! The spirals of the Gryffindor Tower were in clear view! I was wondering - would it be more practical to give the unidentified Hogwarts employees less conjectural names? Fleur infobox image
I think there should be another vote on what image to use for Fleur's infobox. The Goblet of Fire image that's there right now is quite outdated. The only reason it's still there is because no one uploaded any decent Deathly Hallows images of Fleur. But I recently found one and uploaded it:
Who thinks this is a better image than the one that's there now? I've put it on Fleur's talk page and Bachlynn23 and Harry granger think it is. If the majority of you say yes, we should appeal for a second vote.

I think it is rude when people tell you that you do not have a say on something ing Wiki. Let me say that I know Harry Potter unbelieveably well, and not even just that, if I believe a picture from 2006 is too old, I have the right to say so without someone who spends all day (obv without a job and lives off mom) on this website saying I dont have the right to vote on something. September 1st and 2nd
It just occurred to me, if the Hogwarts train always left on September first, and classes always started on September 2nd, then classes couldn't have always been Monday thru Friday, because September 1st doesn't always fall on a Sunday, so what happened when it fell on a Friday, did classes start on a Saturday, or did J.K. This wiki is so good already that I don't think that I could make any changes without making the wiki worse/more irrelevant. All of the things that I know about well enough to edit an article about are already in the article. I still want to edit on this wiki. What should I do?

Hi, everyone. Shooting Starz, here. I love to write fanfics. But, I tried to write one on the last wiki I contributed to, Percy Jackson wiki, and everyone got mad at me, so I had to stop. to make sure that doesn't happen again, I want permission from all the admins here.
