This spell (incantation unknown) could create a web-like blue shield around the caster. To use it, one only needed to point their wand at their attacker.[1]
History[]
In 1932, Newton Scamander was in the process of assisting a Qilin mother in the Tianzi Mountains with the birth of her newborn, when they were attacked by Gellert Grindelwald's acolytes. To buy him and the baby enough time to leave, Newt conjured a large blue shield. The shield was destroyed by Grindelwald's acolytes moments later, but it did give Newt the chance and some time to run.[1]
Nature[]
When conjured, the shield took on the appearance of a large web, formed of many individual tendrils which came out the end of the caster's wand.[1] The web is large enough in length to prevent physical entry from three wizards with room for many more.
